Horse Drawn Fire Wagon Opening Day Parade

Next up in the parade is the Horse Drawn Fire Wagon (appropriately enough.) Behind that can be seen one of the surreys and also the Carnation Milk Truck. Both the Fire Wagon and Surrey were actual rides, the Carnation Truck sat in front of the Carnation Cafe and was one of Walt's favorite toys to drive around. But it was never used to provide rides for guests. If you look closely you will see an early Dapper Dans group hanging out the second story window of the emporium.

Another fab one! Love the Keystone Cop, too; I don't believe I've seen those in the park for some time. Too bad the real security isn't in those outfits!

The Dapper Dans in the window just kill me. Wonderful. How many of these are there?

Wow! So much to look at. I like the Dapper Dans on the balcony, wonder if they were singing or just waving? I have one or two early slides showing Keystone cops (and you see them in early Viewmasters), but don't remember seeing any in person...thanks for sharing these amazing photographs.

Also looks like the "R" in Crystal Arcade isn't working.
