View of the Puffin Bake shop and Sunny View Farms store being finished on opening day. This was the two stores directly across from the rooftop perch the photographer had on opening day. Once again there is lots of activity and workers rushing around to complete the myriad of tasks so the park could be opened. I am willing to bet that for may weeks after, finish construction was still taking place even in the shops. Both shops would not last for very long, Sunny View Farms approximately 4 years and Puffin Bakery a bit longer.

Wow - I've never seen such a clear shot of the signage for these two early shops...
There really is no good place in Disneyland to buy a baked puffin anymore!
ok - here's my ignorance again. what's a puffin?
Hello Hippo- I have about another week and a half worth of opening day shots.
Daveland- a puffin is a black and white sea bird seen in the North East such as Maine. They are cute birds.
Matterhorn these are amazing photos. Did you say you got these at the last show?
Yes I purchased them at the last show. The dealer held them back and I was the first to look at them. I have purchased a lot of the other images in the collection from the same dealer. They all came from a gentleman who worked for Kodak and the camera shop.
These are amazing! And to get them from the gentleman who worked at the Kodak shop on Main Street makes it all the sweeter. I'm blessed to have found your website (and Daveland & Major’s too) because I don't know where I would be able to see photos like these anywhere else? All the more reason for a book to be created.
My mom worked there 55-59
