Administration Building and Fire Department 1955

A rare treat was to find this image of the old white house administration building home to some of the early maintenance shops and the fire department. The fire truck appears to be based upon a Dodge truck similar to the World War 2 trucks. Also I doubt that backstage appeared this messy and disorganized for very long.

Neat! I've never seen a better photo of this building. Somebody is watching a lot of TV in there, look at all the antennas! The fire truck is cool too.

Wait - is that the former Dominguiez house?

Tanga- I am not sure. I did not pull out the E-Ticket magazine to take a look. And Major- the antenna's are for all the short wave communication equipment used by the park.

Actually that truck is a Willys fire truck made between 1954 and roughly 1960. The reason I know is I happen to own a 1955 Willys fire truck. For more info check out the CJ3B web page.

Ok I just did a little more research that unit is a 1955 Willys Commando with fire apparatus made by General Fire apparatus of Detroit Mich. I believe the serial numbr will only differ by a few from mine as Mine is a 1955. G. M. Dreyer
