Happy Thanksgiving

Today's post features a greatest hits so to speak...the best Thanksgiving posts from years ago. The first post is from the 1976 America on Parade featuring the first Thanksgiving and a large turkey.

The next group of pictures are from a set of Macy's Thanksgiving day parade in 1949. Some great shots of the various floats:

Some wonderful shots; where I'm afraid the images from NYC are overshadowing that from Anaheim. Gotta love the Big Apple at Thanksgiving - especially in color. The billboard advertising All the King's Men reminds us just how far billboard advertising has fallen.

I loved that first pic. I have fond memories of that parade and that year at Disneyland in general.
