To Frontierland
One of my favorite Fantasyland signs is this sign that hung over the tunnel to the west of the castle leading to Frontierland. There is a matching sign stating To Tomorrowland. I think that one of these signs is in a private collection.

Ugly and Dirty Signage Photograph
The last image from a contact print which is very light and also dirty. The signage is barely visible being washed out, but is still kind of visible. In the background is the load area for the Conestoga Wagons, Stage Coaches, and Pack Mules. In the right foreground is a ticket booth with some sort of roof repair is happening. The photograph has lots of Disneyland dirt from the sign shop.

Alpine Gardens Sign
The Alpine Gardens was a nice garden spot located close to the Matterhorn and where the Monsanto House of the Future was once located. The house was removed but the pools, waterfall and landscaping was left. A souvenir stand was built where Monsanto once gave away souvenir information about the house. The sign features the Matterhorn and the Disneyland D with a great sun logo.
Main Street Candy Shop Signage
A great view of the Candy shop on Main Street with a peak at two of the Main Street Windows. I love the architectural detail seen in the image.

Haunted Mansion Flashback
Originally posted in 2007, these two images show how popular the Haunted Mansion has always been. A large crowd waits in line to experience the chilling and thrilling adventure inside the Haunted Mansion. The pictures also show the lovely design of the exterior of the Haunted Mansion. I hope you enjoy this flash back.

Two Views of Dolphin Show at Sea World
Finishing up the small batch of photographs from Sea World with two views of the Dolphin show. The background is nice especially with the large stadium. There is quite a crowd watching from the walkway.

Disneyland Elements Seen at Walt Disney World
A couple of images of scenes from Disneyland that were recreated at Walt Disney World. First up is an elephant topiary. Although not placed in front of it's a small world, this is placed by the Contemporary resort. A very cute topiary in the garden.
The second image is of a burning settlers cabin in Frontierland. I kind of like Walt Disney World's location a bit better than the Disneyland version as it is a little more scenic.

San Diego Sea World Circa Late 1960s.
My hometown theme park is Sea World. A lovely park filled with sea creatures, a Japanese Village, a great water fountain show and the Hawaiian Punch Village. As the park matured, more thrill rides have been added. First up is a view the same as yesterday, but showing more of the actual stadium and show floor. (I was mistaken yesterday, the image is of this show stadium and show water.) This is a great view showing the dolphins swimming around a wonderful floating Tiki. I wonder where this Tiki is now living, if it even still exists and did not rot away.
The second image is the Penguin and Seal show from the Royal Crown Cola Penguin and Seal Arena. This was one of my favorite shows when I would visit the park. On the rare occasions we were allowed to drink soda, I remember it sometimes being Royal Crown Cola.

Two Totally Unrelated Amusement Park Photographs
Two different unrelated amusement park photographs. First up is an overall view of Madurodam in the Netherlands. Madurodam is a miniature city with great detail representing different parts of Holland with skyscrapers, hospitals, churches, fire and police stations and an airport. I believe this image is circa early 1960s.
The second image is of Sea World in San Diego. I believe this is from one of the bay sightseeing hydroplane boats. The large structure is the Hawaiian Punch pavilion.

Souvenir Friday- Metal Thermometer Circa 1970s
Although not usually a fan of souvenirs from the 1970s, this thermometer is rather nice. The top design featuring Sleeping Beauty Castle surrounded by the shape of the berm is nicely sculpted. Plus this example is in the original box.
