The second image is one of the best pictures of the Burning Settler's Cabin that I have seen. The fire is consuming the structure and you can even see the arrow on the dead settler.
A collection of images and other items from Disneyland, theme parks and other amusement parks. Also look for images and items I find interesting, amusing or both.

The first image is a beauty. So much to see and the perfect angle.
Looks like it's time to build New Orleans Square to block the Disneyland Hotel tower.
I was at Disneyland in 1963 as a 7 year old. The Mark Twain and Columbia used to travel around the River at night back then (before Fantasmic!). The sight of that cabin burning in the dark was absolutely terrifying. There was also an Indian raiding party on the opposite bank in war paint that you could barely make out at night.
Great photos.
I have a hunch that the first one is misdated, however. The weather vane on the HM has already lost two of its three sails, which dates this photo to the first half of 1964 at the very earliest. (You can use the progressive deterioration of that weather vane for dating purposes!)
Mighty fine shots today, Patrick. Thanks!
