Elephant Slide
Though it sounds like the name of a band, these are two nice images from an unknown park. I love the steel slide with the cute elephant graphic on the slide almost as much as the clothing of the kids. The plus is the attitude shown by the young girls. The second snapshot shows that there was quite a line to ride this fun little slide. I would assume that these slides existed in many small neighborhood parks across the country.

These are cute. I can't help thinking about how hot that slide would be in the Summer sun!
We would slide down the big steel slide behind our grade school, sitting on a square piece of wax paper each time. Four or five trips down with the wax paper and the slide became so slick it was frighteningly fast!!
