1970s Halloween Witch Candy Container
These Halloween Witch Candy Containers from the 1970s are a fun addition to the Halloween collection. When empty of candy, they double as banks. The method to get into the container is a nice gruesome touch as you must behead the witch. Original price from the classic Five and Dime store Woolworths.
The green witch container reminds me of a classic episode of Bewitched where Samantha and Endora expressed displeasure towards Darren for his advertising firm using ugly witch images to promote products during Halloween. It was a fun episode.
I'd assume the whole green witch thing came from The Wizard of Oz. Does someone know any different?
