Calico Fire House

A couple of views from Calico Ghost Town located in the desert between Los Angeles and Las Vegas. This image was taken in 1961 when Walter Knott owned the ghost town. The bright red of the fire engine is nice against the mountains in the background and the wood structures.

I always loved going to Calico. Our Boy Scout troop loved to go camping there. I've got a few pictures from the 70s lying around here, somewhere.
