Views From 1956 Part 6

Both pictures are of what I call Frontierland restaurant row. First up is a long shot image of the storefronts (restaurant fronts) from the Plantation Inn.

A closer image of Aunt Jemima's Pancake House. Check out all the souvenir hats.

Man, the color in these is so beautiful. What an amazing series this has been so far!

Interesting to see how much this corner of the park hasn't changed... and has.

I was thinking the same thing as Major. The color of the 'golden age' in the park [read as prior to 1960] was just so striking. Restaurant row - I bet the aroma was just overwhelming.

I can't tell you how happy it made me to see Aunt Jemima's! I wish I could show this to my dad and talk about out family breakfasts there.

A 'Then & Now' comparison of the first photo would be fascinating to see. Appreciate the look!

Patrick - I'm pretty sure that first shot was taken from approximately where the Treehouse now is; couldn't be from the Plantation House, as the Golden Horseshoe is on the right in the background. I'm also fairly sure that shot #2 is Casa de Fritos before it moved over next to the Mine Train.
