Mister Twister and More

Elitch's Garden used to be a classic trolley amusement park. Located in a suburb of Denver, the park started out with great gardens, then evolved by adding a theater, rides, and then a classic wooden roller coaster and then a bigger wooden roller coaster known as Mister Twister. First up are three images of the neat coaster.

My parting shot is an action shot of an Octopus in action. Looks like a nice summer night with a great crowd.

I assume that these are from the early to mid 1960's? Check out the little train in photo #2. That coaster looks fun, but I'll bet it's a tooth rattler.

Living in Denver, I remember the old location pretty well. It was beautiful! Too bad it moved downtown.
