Things From the Gate- 1955 Advertising Brochure
Starting a series I call Hotel or Motel brochures, advertising Disneyland. I believe these brochures were sent to local motels and hotels as well as Chambers of Commerce. This one is dated 1955 and does mention the new Disneyland Hotel. The first interior page is gorgeous with a nice mosaic of attractions.
Admission for adults - $1! Hard to believe. On those slow days when the park looked pretty empty, they must have barely made money (or even lost it).
"The attendance pattern shows all days of the week about equal in number of visitors"; I wonder if that was really true. Weekends had to be more busy, right?

What a cool item! I especially love "Bring your still or motion picture camera." Hell ya!
