Souvenir Friday- Pacific Ocean Park Employee Patch and Button

Two employee items from the Disneyland competitor in Santa Monica and a now lost park, Pacific Ocean Park. First up is a patch worn on a white shirt. Most of the images of this patch in use are from the Sea Circus.

The next item is an ID badge button. The buttons were individually numbered and worn by employees. I believe most of these were worn by the employees in the midway area where the carnival games were set up.

Wow, so rare. I only went to POP once but I still have some pretty vivid memories. I remember going down in an elevator that had a transparent tube in the middle that filled up with water - the idea was that you were going under the sea. You then saw a huge animated under-the-ocean scene complete with Neptune sitting on a throne.
