Royal American Shows Calliope

Fantastic vintage circus calliope at a fair. Note the same outfit worn by the young lady in this post of Indian and Model. Calliope has a great design. Painted on the front is Royal American Shows.

Whoa, that thing is pretty incredible. Where is the player supposed to sit?

Wonder if this is the LA County Fair, or something like that.

I have seen one like this, can't remember where, probably the county fair when I was a kid.

The operator is hidden, or maybe a player device, the mechanism runs, music comes out, the figures do things, much like the clock at Small World.

The only question is...does it play Beatles tunes, Major?
