Glass Slides of the Jungle River Cruise

Nice images from a trip on the Jungle River Cruise. Some nice images of the classic 1955 attraction. The images were photographed in 1958. First up is Schweitzer Falls, named for the explorer Albert Falls.

Next up is the African Bull Elephant.

One of my favorite scenes, the Native Uprising. Watch out for those spears.

Does Schweitzer Falls ever flow like that anymore? The last time I saw it, it was a ridiculous trickle.

It appears that the first two photos are flipped. The views are looking forward based on the riders in the 2nd photo. But the seat cushion racks were only installed on the starboard side of the boat.

Also, in early photos of Schweitzer Falls (before it was rebuilt and they too cheap provide decent flow) the larger fall is on the left.
