1960 Disneyland Trip Part 2

Another interesting batch of slides from 1960. First up is a nice and unusual photo of Fantasyland from the steps to the Fantasyland Skyway station.

A nice view of Town Square. Note the drinking fountain. (Let's start an online petition to return the fountain to Town Square.)

A nice profile view of the entrance to Frontierland.

A different view with another nice copper colored Skyway cabin.

Wait! The drinking fountin is gone? I could have sworn that it's still there and double in size. Gotta go through my pictures to find out....

I still love pictures of the old Skyway going over the old Fantasyland.

Indeed Major and the fantasyland terminus of that ride was a wonderful gift.

The sad thing is that at WDW the Fantasyland terminus is still just sitting there, looking forlorn and increasingly haunted...

The Matterhorn sure looks brand new in that pic, and I'll bet at the time still had that new car smell!

There's no longer a fountain in that spot - How do I sign the online petition to get it back?

Wow, the Emporium roof is a totally different shade now, I like this version better!

For some reason, we almost always rode the Skyway from Fantasyland to Tomorrowland, not the other way around.

Don't know why. Not sure it was conscious, but almost all memories are that direction, this view. I remember one ride in the old buckets, ours was red.

These are wonderful pictures, thank you very much.
