The Fountains of Tomorrowland

This photo of pre-opening artwork of the Fountains of Tomorrowland is for Major Pepperidge. I too would have loved to see the fountains built and in operation. Especially with the large model of the molecule sitting in the middle of the fountain.

It really is tantalizing to imagine what might have been if Walt had a larger budget. Instead of $15 million, what if he had managed to get $25 million. Of course, in 1955 dollars, that's probably the equivalent of $200 million!

Hey, it's never too late for a good idea. Just move those Rocket Jets back up where they belong, and break out the jackhammers.

This artwork still looks amazing 50 some years later.
