Two Extinct Views from 1983 Walt Disney World

From a large collection of slides that included various theme and amusement park come this modern slides of Walt Disney World. The first is an image of the Harpers Mill water wheel with the woods and growth.

The second image shows the best version of Tomorrowland. This shot was taken looking towards the entrance with Mission to Mars on the left and Carousel of Progress on the right and Rocket Jets and the Peoplemover in front. I love the visual chaos of the slide with all the motion and lights, something Tomorrowland at both parks is currently missing.

That Tomorrowland photo is fantastic! Now THAT'S a place I'd like to see in person. I have no idea what it looks like now (never been there), but I assume that it has changed for the worse.

Is Harper's Mill no longer there? I'm just wondering why the first image is an extinct view.

Ditto what Major said on every word. WOW that picture of Tomorrowland looks surreal, I've never been there either, but the pics I've seen of it today are sad..

Harper's Mill is still there, painted red with a new show scene where that willow is in the picture... a little sandy beach and a beached raft. Tomorrowland is different now, and yes, not better, but at least there's still a PeopleMover.

I'd love to see WDW photos on this blog. =)

Makes me miss the Tomorrowland that was optimistic.

That's CircleVision on the right, not the CoP.
