Mod Girl in Front of Alaska State Flagpole Tomorrowland 1965

An image I really like, a girl in a great mod overcoat, standing in front of some of the most rare attraction posters, next to the old courtyard of flags that marked the entrance to Tomorrowland with one of the modern light fixtures in the background. Photo is dated March 1965.

Gimme those posters! There's a 20K poster on ebay right now, you can buy it now for over three thousand bucks, yeesh! Is it true that at one time the Disney people were going to dump all of the remaining, unused posters?

There are many legends told about the attraction posters. However, the 20K is not the rarest poster in the view, the Flying Saucers is the rarest poster.

I do see the 20K poster come up for auction or sale occasionally. it is such a fantastic image, though! Twice I have been offered a Flying Saucers poster, but the price was more than I could do. Love those Tomorrowland posters best of all (Rocket to the Moon, Monorail, Autopia, Subs, etc). May I ask, in your opinion, what the rarest Disneyland posters are? Casa de Fritos? Art Corner?

In my opinion, the Casa De Fritos poster is the most rare having a single print run. But there are other posters that have much more interest i.e. The Rocket to the Moon, Flying Saucers, Rainbow Caverns, even Enchanted Tiki Room. And the restaurant posters are also rare such as the Red Wagon Inn or Stouffers in Disneyland.

I have a Stouffers poster in my collection! No Flying Saucers or Rocket to the Moon unfortunately. I know someone (you probably know him) who had a xerox showing a Rocket to the Moon poster with the Douglas markings, but have no idea if that poster was ever produced, or if this was just a concept piece. Thanks for the great images and info!
