Posing in Tomorrowland and Carnation

The first image shows Sherri and her boyfriend (he looks like a Howard to me...) posing at the entrance to Tomorrowland. In the background can be seen the sleek facades and the lovely yellow Peoplemover going by in the background. Sherri and Howard look like a nice couple.

The second image is Howard posing next to the Carnation ice cream truck on Main Street. The visor he is wearing has the peace symbol on it...a definite fashion of the late 1960s.

I miss it too Major! Is that guy wearing an Atari logo on his visor... or what the heck is that??

"Concur all" on that Tomorrowland.

Amazon Belle, it's apparently a "Peace" (a.k.a. "CND") symbol.

You're not the only one who misread it - I saw that as a Rockwell International logo. I was reading about Saul Bass yesterday, so I guess my subconscious saw what it wanted to.

Howard seems to be doing alright. And Sherri seems quite happy too. I wonder how much longer they were together. 2 weeks? Forever?

Thanks Matterhorn

That's an unusual flower design in the Tomorrowland entrance planter. I'm used to always seeing that swirling pattern of yellow and purple flowers. I sure do wish I could step into that photo and revisit THAT version Tomorrowland again!

Thanks Chuck and JG for the visor logo clarification. I see the Peace sign now that you call it out... but Rockwell would make sense too. You know Chuck, I grew up in Downey, CA., so not sure why my mind didn't go there first. I got to visit Rockwell during the Apollo era. Downey was also the home town to Richard and Karen Carpenter. GREAT time to be alive and live'n in Downey. : )
