Loading the Ride

Pacific Ocean Park was a mix of themed attractions and the usual midway style of thrill rides. One of the rides was a zipper style of Ferris Wheel. Here we see two nice young guests loading into the ride. Note how dapper the two are dressed for their date nite.

This ride is called the Rock-O-Plane and was manufactured by the Eyerly Aircraft Company.

We still have one here at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. It's a midway classic!

Love Rock-O-Planes! To this day, I can't think of any other thrill ride that lets you take control of your own aerial stunts! Glad the Boardwalk's still got one!
