A themed environment that was once close to many people, Farrell's Ice Cream Parlor was Main Street brought to life. A fantastic array of ice cream treats and sundaes were available. The site of many a kid's birthday party, the parlor offered a free sundae to any child celebrating his or her birthday. After being purchased by Marriot and rebranded into a family restaurant, the parlors all closed. However in 2009, a new investment group with the idea of restoring Farrell's back to the fun 1890s ice cream restaurant has opened several sites in Southern California.

There are also two or three in Hawaii.
I haven't seen a Farrell's in ages. Now I know why. Nice pics!
Amazing pix, these bring back memories for sure!
The one in OC is fantastic - just like stepping back into time.
My cousins took me to one for my birthday. One said I turned red as a beet when everyone sang Happy Birthday. lol
We went to Farrell’s many times after movies in the early 70s. The place was always packed. I always ordered a Tin Roof.
I grew up with a Farrell's near my house -- loved the place! I'm trying to remember the name of the huge sundae they'd rush out on a stretcher with the siren blaring...was it "The Zoo"?
@210Frwy: I also went for the Tin Roof!
