For Major Pepperidge, here is a close up of the signs on the Dumbo Ticket Booth. I cannot tell, but it just looks like scribbling on the sign, not Timothy and Dumbo's autographs.

The entire perspective of the castle was different then. The entire park had a 'rustic' charm that is very removed from today.
I'm pretty sure that it's just a simplistic line drawing of Dumbo at the bottom of the sign rather than any sort of signature.
That first photo made me drool all over my keyboard. You owe me a new laptop!
Look at that drawbridge, wow. Never knew it did that. Bet that didn't last long.
