World's Fair Wednesday- More From 1933 Chicago Views

Three more artistic views from the 1933 Chicago World's Fair. Electricity was still pretty novel and an entire building was devoted to the display of all the wonderful items electrical.

Next up is the transportation building, held up by sky hooks. A great design and reminiscent of many of the modern buildings that were built after the World's Fair.

Final image is the general exhibits building in a fantastic Art Moderne design. I am sure the exhibits had great deco and machine age design.

That last one has a facade that is reminiscent of the old Pan Pacific building in Los Angeles.

We mostly see black and white photos of this fair, but (as this artwork shows), it was very colorful. Must have been stunning in person!
