Things From the Gate- Winter Spring 1959 Ticket Brochure
I originally thought this was for Winter Spring 1959-1960, but based upon the dates on the back, it is from 1959. The yellow coloring does not work very well and is hard to read. I wonder who was the graphic designer for these brochures?
Maybe it was designed by the same people who were working on Disneyland Holiday (or was it Vacationland by this point?)? The name Paul Brewer comes to mind, but I think he arrived somewhat later.
Yeah, yellow on white is a piker's mistake, but it happens pretty often. It's close enough to goldenrod to work, sort of.
Your lemon yellow water mark would be completely lost.
I suppose the color change was intended to flag different versions of prices, or opening hours so angry guests could be told at a glance that they had an old flyer.
Yellow???? Wow, the fun never ends here! - THANKS - I've never seen the yellow version before! I think Katella is right, the color changes let the staff know right away it was the "current" one. AWESOME POST!!!
Yikes! There's a yellow version too? Amazing. This one must be really rare!
