Public Telephones On Main Street
One of the most obscure images from the Kodak collection is this shot of the pay telephones on Main Street. I believe this was located next to the current location for the lockers. With today's liability and risk, the steps would not be in use.
Very nice picture. I *think* it's actually to the left of where you go in for the lockers. If I'm not mistaken, they now sell ice cream novelties out of that window there.
Fantastic rare view of E. Center Street before the Cone Shop!
ReplyDeleteIs this on Center Street? You can see the reflection of the sign for the old Pen shop. I love the little telephone signs.
ReplyDeletewhat a wonderful image. a glimpse back in time.

ReplyDeleteWow something new and never before seen, thanks! Hey, what is the "Kodak Collection"?
ReplyDeleteNice shot. It's surprising just how 'plain' that facade looks. It feels uncomplicated and pure - but lacks detail.
