Two Views of the Emporium
Two side views of the Main Street Emporium. The first is from Main Street showing the windows.
The second view is from Town Square with Mickey Mouse Club Merchandise in the windows.
After following these awesome blogs for a while now, I'm actually surprised no one's ever done a post on those incredible animated dioramas they used to do in the Main St. windows every few months...those were as good as any dark ride in the park!
For that matter, I don't think anyone's ever done a post on the 3-d dioramas that used to be (still intact?) inside Sleeping Beauty's castle. I'd love to see that "stuff from the park" again!
Anonymous- the problem is not many people took pictures of the Main Street Windows (and most of those are the window is in the background) and no one took images of the interior of the Sleeping Beauty Castle interior dioramas. All of the bloggers wish they could find those images!
I do have images of the post-1977(?) Sleeping Beauty Castle Walk-Through. If people wanted to see those I could certainly post them, but I understand the fascination is much more with its original incarnation!
I love all of the varying architectural details used on Main street... just look at the ornaments and scrollwork on these buildings!

ReplyDeleteWoo! Is that a giant Viewmaster reel in the window (bottom photo)? Cool!
