The second view is dates Xmas 1967 and features Monorail red in station. The way the photograph is taken, it appears as if the sign appears right on top of the monorail. Also look at that line for the Submarine Voyage.
A collection of images and other items from Disneyland, theme parks and other amusement parks. Also look for images and items I find interesting, amusing or both.

These are both nice, unusual views....after seeing similar photos over and over, you start to appreciate something different!
on the bottom picture....is that a Santa Fe RR logo? I had never noticed that logo on the monorail before.
Yes, Santa Fe had a deal in which their name would appear on all trains at the park (even if they only use one rail!). So Alweg had to share!
Was there a Santa Fe logo on Casey Jr as well?
Actually Santa Fe had the contract with Retlaw. Retlaw owned both the Monorail and the Disneyland Railroad. Retlaw of course is Walter spelled backwards and was the company owned by the Walt Disney family. Retlaw owned several TV and Radio Stations, the trains at Disneyland and the rights to Walt Disney name. Walt Disney productions paid Retlaw for the use of Walt Disney and the image of Walt. Several years ago. Retlaw was disbanded and became the Walt Disney Family Foundation.
