Just a wonderufl image of the full Chicken of the Sea Pirate Ship located in Fantasyland. One of the iconic structures at Disneyland that was reduced to rubble in 1982 for the New Fantasyland. As Major Pepperidge states today on Gorillas Don't Blog just a great image that makes me want to be there. No comments are really necessary.
Nice Pic. The large format that your using is much appreciated, it lets you kinda "move around" in the image - kinda like being there!! In the rear of the ship you can make out the Chicken of the Sea sinage, but the front is missing its logo. Does anyone know why it was removed? DD
ReplyDeleteI think it is either hidden by one of the umbrellas or not on the ship at this time. There was some information presented recently about it, but the dates they stated escape me at this moment. And your welcome for the larger images.
ReplyDeleteYeah, larger images! Seems like blogger re-sizes my stuff so that it is smaller than I intended. Or I don't know what I'm doing!!
ReplyDeleteAnyway, sometimes I enjoy looking at the people in the photos as much as the park itself...and kind of imagine what it was like to be there on that day.
i always go back and forth about whether the pirate ship looked better with or without the lagoon.
ReplyDeletethere's something neat about this huge, cartoony pirate ship popping out of a sea of asphalt.
