On a chilly Southern California day all the Peoplemover vehicles have turned blue. The sky is a gorgeous blue with light clouds but the crowd is non-existant. The entrance features the soaring spires of both the Monsanto and Bell Telephone attractions. I just want to step into this photograph and ride the Peoplemover one more time.
And a hint of Mary Blair's mural too! Now there's a Tomorrowland I can believe in.
ReplyDeleteLovely image! Brings to mind Walt Disney World's WEDway PeopleMover with its all blue vehicles. Thanks, Patrick.
ReplyDeleteI would like to step into that image, also. That's Tomorrowland as I remember it.
ReplyDeleteThat's the Tomorrowland I remember and admire most! Look at all those pretty flowers at the entrance. Look at how wide open the entrance is without so many obstacles to avoid on the ground. Look at the flag pole and ol' glory flying at the entrance (my understanding is Disneyland is dedicated to our country, not Tatooine or Endor.)! You're right Pegleg... look at Mary Blair's murals of youth "savoring the challenge of the future" through "Energy" and "Communication." Indeed... that is a Tomorrowland we all can believe in!
ReplyDeleteAlways your pal,
Amazon Belle
Oh man. Great.
