One of my favorite spots in Disneyland is the Plaza Inn, once known as the Red Wagon Inn. For many years the Colombian Coffee Growers sponsored the restaurant. The food served at the Plaza Inn has not changed much and it is still the place to go for Fried Chicken. The design of the tray focuses on the coffee growers and not much on the architecture of the restaurant although the border detail is very Victorian and fits into the Main Street design. This is also a larger size tray than the first two I posted.
I was wondering if you had this one and were going to post it on your blog. Nice!
ReplyDeleteActually the food has changed quite a bit at the Plaza Inn over the years. I seem to remember a wider variety of food and also remember having a prime rib dinner there at one time. I don't think it's near as good as it used to be back in the day.
I used to work there in the early '80's. The prime rib may have been in the summer, when the restaurant was divided into two different places - the buffet on one side and the "Plaza Terrace" on the other side, with waiter service and higher end meals.
