One of the many competitor theme parks that were built after the success of Disneyland was Freedomland. Located in the Bronx and close to the masses living in New York City, the park existed for a short 4 years. The theme was America and featured the western area of the Southwest. The first image shows the steam train sponsored by Santa Fe Railroad. At this time period, Santa Fe sponsored both the railroad at Disneyland and Freedomland. In the photograph, Johnny is posing in his Confederate hat with his mom.

Johnny then posed with the sheriff and bad guy after the gun fight. Quite a crowd in this photograph. p>
