"it's a small world" Attraction Marquee

An attraction that people either say they love or hate is the happiest cruise that has ever sailed the world, it's a small world. Sponsored by a long term Disneyland lessee and one of the major financiers for the park Bank of America. Originally sponsored by Pepsi Cola at the 1964 New York World's Fair, the attraction was changed slightly for it's residence at Disneyland. The biggest change was the exterior of the attraction and the loss of Rolly Crump's Tower of Four Winds. The first image is from high over Disneyland while riding the Skyway over Fantasyland. Some details are the colorful tables sitting at the Storybook Canal Boats entrance and the kiosk on the left hand side.

The next image is of the attraction building from the walkway. I like how the gold and white shines in the daylight, and the absence of the distracting toy shop at the exit.

  1. The second image is my favorite version of the IASW façade. All gold and white accented with the blue & white sign: "it's a small world" presented Bank of America.

    Perfection!

  2. When somebody says that they loathe IASW, I find myself liking them just a little bit less!
