In 1987 Disneyland produced a State Fair to increase attendance. Part of the State Fair was a Midway filled with games. The games were themed to animated characters and the Midway was located on the Small World Promenade. In front of it's a small world was a dive tank where daredevils would high dive into the pool.
I vaguely remember the State Fair thing... wish this picture was in color!
ReplyDeleteState Fair was strange. It sort of represented everything that conflicted with the Disney philosophy I knew back then.
ReplyDeleteI did love riding the Ferris Wheels for the unusual views of the Park they provided.
I have a street sign for sale from the state fair
