Enchanted Forest Ellicot City, Part 2

Thanks to anonymous, I mis-typed the name of the city as Elliot City Maryland, it is truly Ellicot City. The initial view is of the Practical Pig house made out of brick. You can see a pig leaning out of the building on the opposite side of the picture. Nice crowd of kids looking into the window to see the interior.

The second view is a more general overview of the park. The buildings all look nicely themed and in great cartoon colors.

  1. I think it is interesting how there used to be SO many fairy tale/mother hubbard-themed children's parks in the 1950's and 1960's. Most of them are gone now, and the classic tales have been replaced by movie and TV characters.

  2. Getting closer! Two 't's: Ellicott City. And, if you pronounce it "eh-lih-CAHT", you'll be pegged as a non-local. It's "EH-lih-kit". :-)

I've only been in Baltimore about 10 years, so I wasn't around for the original EF. I've been to Clark's Elioak Farm once to drop my daughter (then 6) off for a birthday party there. In spite of "kids these days" looking for the whiz-bang, interactive, electronic entertainment, those kids had a great time there!

  3. Luckily we still have a few of the older children's fairytale themed parks still in operation here in Northern California.
