Next up is a nice shot of Chip in Frontierland standing in front of the Pendleton exhibit. Based upon what I can read on the Magic Kingdom tickets being worn by the two ladies, the day is August 2, 1981 which was a Sunday with a high of 81 degrees. The park opened at 9 AM and closed at 12 AM.
Do they still have RR cars in which the seats are perpendicular to the track?
ReplyDeleteI think the 1st picture is flipped. Or else the ladies are in rear-facing seats.
ReplyDeleteA busy time of the year to be there too.
ReplyDeleteThanks...I have flipped the photograph to the correct orientation.
ReplyDelete@Major, yes, at least one train has perpendicular seating. I was unhappy to get to ride that one last trip. Sigh.
ReplyDeleteI liked Frontierland better when these shops were real stores. If you go in today, all you will find are plush toys and junk. Back then, you could get a real wool shirt, like Daniel Boone...
