April 1966 In Color

A nice selection of snapshots from April 1966. First up is the required castle shot, this time with the planter at the Hub in the foreground.

A nice shot of the native hut and outrigger across from the loading dock on the Jungle River Cruise.

A view of the Mark Twain from the top of Tom Sawyer's treehouse.

Staying on Tom Sawyer's Island, a nice shot of the Keelboat Bertha Mae with a very small crew aboard.

A quick run over to the Indian Village to visit the Buffalo.

Of course, the photographer stopped to watch the Native American's dance.

Of course the kids wanted a picture with their favorite characters, Alice in Wonderland and Goofy.

  1. For some reason the Mark Twain looks like a toy in that photo!

  2. When I was a kid, I always wondered why there wasn't a fountain or something in the hub instead of a flower bed.

Now it seems obvious, the flowerbed gives a pleasant foreground to photos of the castle, instead of just concrete (or obstructed by a fountain.)
