Main Street Elecric Parade in the Warehouse

Here is an interesting publicity photograph. Interesting because the photo shows the parade with the lights on, but with no parade cast members. I like that you can see all the various floats. I believe this image dates from the late 1970s or early 1980s.

Another interesting aspect of the photograph is to look at the shelves lining the warehouse. It appears there are lots of new character heads wrapped in plastic bags sitting on the shelves...

  1. These are fascinating, the shelves are almost more interesting that the float!

I heard the MSEP is being sent to WDW for a couple years, I was hoping Disneyland would get it back for its 55th, oh well, maybe they'll get it back for the 60th! Nice post - Thanks!

  5. I too, was hoping that the DISNEYLAND Main Street Electrical Parade would be back at the Park for the 55th but alas...we have become the forgotten step-child. WDW gets all the attention from the company now.

  6. This is such an awesome photo! I only saw the parade for the first time during the holiday at CA. I was immediately enchanted by it.

I really wish the electrical parade would come back to Dland full time.

  8. I am assuming this photo is from the Farewell Season but it's great to see a rare photo of the MSEP Warehouse aglow with all of the units lit up. I, too am sad that EP is not going to DL as it was rumored this year. Thanks for posting.

  9. Great photo! Those dwarf heads on the bottom shelf are the smaller versions that didn't debut until 1981.
