Continuing the views of the large gunfight at Corriganville. Of course, not all gunfights are fought solely with guns, but rather the bad and good guys went to it mano to mano with fisticuffs. First up is a little rope trick to get the crowd warmed up.
Proof that the west was wild and no one was safe, not even youngsters.
I had never heard of this place until last year. How very cool to finally see some photos of the place!
ReplyDeleteI wonder what the deal was with the "shot" kid in that third photo? I have a few photos, not nearly as fun as these, but I should put 'em up.
ReplyDeleteIt was a long time ago. I was there in 1962. It was my Dad's idea. I had never heard of the place. We had just moved to Sherman Oaks from Utah. Certianly nothing like Disneyland. While it's heyday had passed I can still recall the western town and the gunfight.
