Burro Ride at Knott's Berry Farm

Disneyland was not the only park to have a burro ride. Knott's Berry farm had burros as well, however judging from the photos, it was not quite as scenic as Disneyland. On the other hand, guests did get to ride through the town. The first image shows the group by the railroad station.

A picture of old number 40 from the Denver and Rio Grande sitting in the station.

The final two shots are of the adobe wall and the scenic trail. The boy in the second shot really enjoyed having his picture taken.

  1. Cool pics! Do you know where that adobe wall used to be located? I do not believe I have seen pictures of this area before. That wall looks to be 15-20 feet tall. Thanks for posting these!

  2. You're actually looking at the back side of the Calico Mine Ride in those last two photos. The burro ride circled the building and toof you out into the west parking lot area. The trees made it a little more scenic - though not quite 'Disney quality'. Great shots!

  3. Wow, really great photos, and it's cool that we get a glimpse of the back of the Mine Train mountain. Looks like that kid is wearing an engineer's cap!

  4. Both parks may have had burros, but something tells me the Knott's Donkeys smelled more ... natural.

  7. Later they moved the burros over to the other side by where the independence hall area is. That trail was more scenic.
