Crash Corrigan and His Theme Park

Once a lovely movie ranch, Crash Corrigan decided to open up a Western theme park. Open on weekends with gunfights, horse rides, saloon girls and more, the park was a quiet competitor to Disneyland and Universal Studios. Outside the Berm has a nice write up on the history and some now and then images. Here are some then images, featuring the proprietor and movie star, Crash Corrigan.

I like the third photograph with Crash signing one of the park's brochures. And the last photograph is fun with the posse being formed to take out after the bad guys who are probably hiding in one of the many caves on the property.

  1. Very neat! I have a brochure signed by Crash himself, so I like that third shot too. I drive through Simi Valley fairly regularly, past where Corriganville used to be... wish it was still there!

  2. Fun shots...

The thing about Corriganville snapshots - we've found anyways - is that because Crash and his co-stars were on the scene and available for photos, there are plenty of pics of them and fewer of the grounds proper. Not a complaint, just an observation.

    Appreciate the look!
