Sorry for the no post yesterday as I had to be at work very early in the morning. To make up for it is this mid-1960s Amusement Ride catalog from the Japanese manufacturer Sansei. From the pictures, the company made many of the rides seen at Nara Dreamland. There are some fantastic ride ideas especially the snack tower which is my wife's favorite.
For a bonus, here are the striped shorts boys fishing on Tom Sawyer's Island. I wonder if they caught anything and if they did, they carried the fish around all day?
that catalog sir, is an orgy of greatness! thanks for posting!
ReplyDeleteHi there.
ReplyDeleteI am trying to locate a post you recently had with a NAPKIN. I was at a Disney VIP event last night for bloggers and they showed us the new napkin designs and I want to LINK TO YOUR SITE. You should have been there....you would have loved it!
Can't find the day it was posted. Can you help? Thanks
Amazing catalog, I saw the cover years ago on ebay (did you buy it?) now I get to see the marvolous insides! I think the Snack Tower is my favorite too! THANKS for post this!
ReplyDeleteThere was a Disney VIP Blogger event last night??? Something tells me our little group was excluded?
I wanted to go to Nara's Dreamland so bad, but it had already closed by the time I found out about it. From the photos I've seen of it, it looked like some freaky alternate universe Disneyland.
ReplyDeleteOutstanding catalog! Thanks for the look.
ReplyDeleteYes, that catalog is incredible!!! Thank you for sharing.
