New York Worlds Fair Part 4

Back again with more views of the New York World's Fair. The first image ties into yesterdays, the Swiss Sky Ride building (one of two.)

Here is another photograph taken while on the Sky Ride. The image shows a food stand serving Shrimp Roll.

One of the more interesting modes of transportation was the Greyhound tram. The tram is designed maintaining the sleek lines of the futurism and aesthetics of the fair.

A nice you are there view while riding the Greyhound tram.

Next up are a couple of images showing the wide boulevards, the crowds and just how expansive the Fair was. By looking at the images, I can see the need for a tram on the fairgrounds.

The next two images are from dusk when the family was leaving. The first is of the New York Port Authority building where a heliport was located.

The second image is of the amusement area with the lights just starting on. Edit- I have since learned that this is the Chrysler Exhibit. Thanks PTA.

I hope everyone has a nice and happy Thanksgiving. And for the vegans out there, enjoy your tofurkey!

I think the Chrysler exhibit pic is printed in reverse. Note "CH" lettering on top of building.
