Main Street Flower Market

One of the more interesting places on Main Street was the Flower Market. I have been intrigued with this shopping location since finding the rare Flowers on Main Street advertising postcard. Here is a nice view of the market with the ladies auxiliary club shopping.

From the same batch of slides is this rather awkward shot of the Horse Drawn Trolley. My eye travels to the lady with the bright blue towel covering her curlers!

    Ha, the lady with the blue head wrap reminds me of my mom when I was a kid. She would use curlers and walk around the house with a thing like that on. But why would anybody go out to a day at Disneyland looking like that??

    Like the old ad said "Curlers in your hair? Shame on you..."

    Actually, Having lived thru both the former age of obnoxious hair curlers, and the present age obnoxious body skewering, piercing, flesh-shredding, gangland tats, and exposed mid-rifs on girls 50 pounds over weight, I'd welcome the hair curlers back with open arms and wet kisses.

    Just me.
