Yesterday I found a collection of snapshots from the 1964-65 New York World's Fair. In the collection are many images of the Sinclair DinoLand. However, they are on Polaroid stock and quite scratched. These images are also part of the collection and it appears the camera was broken as all the images have a "ghost" image of the next photo. The photo's themselves are of some great scenes. The first two are of the Sinclair Oil exhibit.
The next image is of the antique car ride sponsored by Avis.
The final image is of the Ford Pavilions Car Parts Band.
Wow...nice find.
ReplyDeleteNeat Pics! I want the 65 Cadillac Coupe DeVille!!! oh I want to rid the Avis car too..... THANKS!
ReplyDeleteWonderful, I can't get enough of the New York World's Fair! Nice interior view too.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos, but I don't think they are from the 1964-65 NY World's Fair...
ReplyDeleteThe Sinclair dinos went on 10 month, 38 city tour of the eastern half of the US in 1966, and I think these photos are probably from one of those stops.
I believe the Ford Autoparts Orchestra photo is from Hemisfair '68 in San Antonio, TX (but I'm not 100% certain). However, I can definitely say that it is not from the NY Fair...
The Avis exhibit doesn't quite look like New York either - it may be from Hemisfair '68 as well...
Best Regards,
Kevin
