Two Views of the Main Street Omnibus

I don't know why the photographer took two views of the same side of the Omnibus, but I like that he did. Maybe he wanted to get a better image of the last attraction poster artwork. When Kevin and Jody did the scale model of the bus, they used similar artwork for the sides but I believe they put in a Tiki Room graphic which is not originally on the bus.

  1. Howard Lowery had one of these strips of mini posters from an Omnibus many years ago. This was before I ever dreamed of owning an attraction poster, so I didn't even bid. Sure wish I had, since it's the only example I've ever seen for purchase.

Kevin and Jody put the Tiki Room graphics on the scale model so that they could sell more of there crap. Forget authenticity!

  3. I like how it says "Fantasyland" is this when it used to head up near the Fantasyland Station? That rear tire could use a little Armoral!

  4. I love the Omni-Buses.

Saw one at WDW last week and got a picture or two of it.

  5. Great photos as always. Jody and I just flew home from Germany today and have been enjoying all the cool online stuff we missed while away.

We have photographs of the bus over the years with variations and other featured attractions on the side panels (including the Country Bear Jamboree in the 70s, which was really cool.)

Our Ominibus model was one of our most slavishly authentic pieces, and we made sure to have Bob Gurr go over it carefully and bless it before it went into production. There were two Omnibusses built for DL and they have slight differences that you'll notice in side-by-side comparisons.

Anonymous, glad to see you posting here! Were you by any chance one of the merchants at DisneyShopping? ;-)

  6. Thanks for the comments Kevin. In my description, I meant no slight for the work you did and continue to do...just making an observation.
