Well today is my 2 year anniversary of posting images to the blog. And I wanted to showcase an amazing set of images from Carousel of Progress. All the images are from the early 1970s. Now lets relive the GE Carousel of Progress. I know you all know the words..There's a great big beautiful tomorrow, shining through at the end of every day. There's a great big beautiful tomorrow...
Congratulations on 2 years of amazing posting! I was looking over some over your older posts last night, WOW, you’ve done some great work, keep it up!
ReplyDeleteThese are neat COP photos. I have never seen it at DL or WDW, it’s look fun. I’m going to Florida this summer, I hope it’s sill there (or maybe they will pack it up and bring it to Anaheim!)
Thanks for the Carousel shots, and congratulations on your sustained posting success!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Matterhorn on your 2nd year anniversary. You have supplied so many moments of Disneyland's past and we have enjoyed them all. Thanks for all your efforts. They are truly appreciated.
ReplyDeleteMANY congratulations, Patrick...your site was the one that inspired me to share my own Disneyland slides (I think I first read about Stuff From the Park on BoingBoing), and it is still the first one I look at in the morning. Thanks for all of your hard work and for all of the fun and interesting information!
ReplyDeleteCongrats from your loyal and loving fans!
ReplyDeleteCongrats sir! I cannot imagine doing this every day for 2 years.
ReplyDeleteUnusual "countdown clock" image!
Congratulations, indeed! Happy anniversary and thank you very much for documenting the way you do.
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary - to the guy that started it all! And great set of shots...I used to love this show when it was at DLand.
ReplyDeleteI'll add my congratulations and sincere thanks for all of the work you put into this blog--and your generous sharing of your images and knowledge.
ReplyDeleteCongrats indeed, one of my favorite spots on the net.
ReplyDeleteP.S. Looking at the GE logo, I think your (great) top photo is flopped backwards.
Thanks again for the great stuff!
Congrats!
ReplyDeleteI didn't see COP until 1994 at WDW. I love the shot od the last seen. It is so different from what they have now.
I heard a rumor that COP might be donated to the Smithsonian, but I was reminded that it is one of the attractions that Walt's family owns, so there might be some issues with shuttering it.
I can't wait for 200 more posts!
Congrats on 2 years. Love the site. I read it every day. Thanks for your hard work putting it together for us.
ReplyDeleteI was wondering about that second slide in the COB bunch. I don't think that's from COB. I think it might be from the Circarama show America the Beautiful. I just don't remember a countdown sign in COB.
