View of the Sunkist House that used to be on Main Street. This storefront lasted many years and was the home of some of the most refreshing drinks at the park. Sunkist also sponsored a juice stand in Adventureland. And they also fielded the best intra-Disneyland sports teams in Softball and Basketball. The reason was the manager hand picked his employees based upon their athletic prowess. Getting back to the photo, I like the window displays with the white shipping boxes with the Disneyland castle logos, very nice.
Gorgeous shot - love the logos in the window!
ReplyDeleteIs that Christmas wreath material on the ground?
Are all of these fantastic square-format slides from the lot that you mentioned weeks ago? I'm just wondering if they're all from 1960.
ReplyDeleteTanga- yes that does appear to be Christmas wreath material. And Major- most of the latest images are from the same collection. (And there are many more to go...)
ReplyDeleteboy you were early this morning
ReplyDeletewhere did you get the slides?
PJ - are we sure they are all 1960? I recall thinking some were earlier when I scanned them...
ReplyDeleteTanga- I think there are some 1961 and early 1962 shots as well as some 1959 shots. The majority are 1960.
ReplyDeleteI remember it was hot out and we would go inside this shop and they had a machine with fresh oranges that went in and squeezed the juice. Also they had lemonade and soft frozen treats. It was very good and the scent of the citrus was refreshing.
